Our least favourite of the stupid sayings used to be ‘
a picture is worth a thousand words’. The adage that a single image can display what a thousand words can, didn’t sit well with us at all. After all, a thousand words is a lot of words. I once wrote a thousand words which got me a job in a place full of sad, pathetic losers and slowly but surely, I was becoming one of those sad, pathetic losers so I stopped playing in the Bon Jovi tribute band and slowly became the well balanced individual, you see before you now! Another time, I wrote a thousand lines:
The mind is a funny, funny thing but not funny as in falling flat on your face in a fanfare of freaky frenzy but funny in a funny way like a joke told by the old time comedians, long before you had a deep rooted fear of nuns running through your veins, where blood should be.
There is however, one picture that is worth a thousand words. That picture is of Jill Y when she was a kid. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and if I had of looked at this picture many years ago, I would have understood what she would be capable of, in the years to come:
